Continued Thursday 16th: July 1795 .

He is to give Advice and Medicines to any of the resident Officers
or Servants of either Hospital who may be actually indisposed
and have occasion for them but not otherwise.

He is to acquaint the Stewards and Committees respectively
of any neglect or abuse and to suggest necessary reforms.

He is to give all necessary attendance upon the Prisoners
and others at Bridewell and to sign the Matrons bill
for Sick Messes to the Prisoners.

He is to visit the Patients in Bethlem Hospital regularly
every morning or oftener if necessary and Report to the
Physician any neglect he may observe in the management of
the Patients.

He is to attend the Administration of the Medicines ordered by
the Physician on the days appointed and see that they are
properly taken and to direct the Keepers in their manage-
ment of the Patients during the absence of the Physician.

He is to take especial care that all the Druggs and
Medicines are of the best kind and are not wasted or
applied to any other purposes than the true object of the
Charities and to deliver a List to the Bethlem Committee
every Saturday of what are immediately necessary and of
such others as he may have been obliged to procure during
the preceding Week for any pressing and unforseen
occasion.

And the Committee were further of opinion that for
the various duties above stated he should be allowed a Salary
of £100 Pr. Ann a House clear of Taxes repaired and fur-
nished with all necessaries Coals Candles Beer & necessary
provisions under the direction of the Bethlem Committee.
