Continued Thursday 16th: July 1795 .

Stewards of Annl.
Feast Their
Recommendation
to the Cot. for the
Dinner to be postponed,
accd the money expended
in the relief of the Poor

A recommendation having been read from the Stewards
appointed for the Election Feast for the present Year
that on account of the present dearness of Provisions
and the consequent Distress of the poor the Public
Dinner for this year only should be postponed and
the money that is usually expended by the Stewards
upon that occasion applied towards the relief of the
poor.

Agreed to by the
Court


Resolved that the Court consider themselves obliged by the
recommendation of the Stewards and do request them to dispose
of the money for the relief of the poor in such manner as they
may think most proper.

Resolved that Mr. Treasurer be requested to insert an Advertisement
in the Public Papers expressive of the above resolution

Resolved that each of the Stewards have the usual Priviledge
of nominating a Governor.

Apothecary Vacy.

At this Court the Treasurer declared the vacancy of an Apothecary
to these Hospitals occasioned by the death of Mr. John Gozna< no role >

The Minutes of the joint Committee of both Hospitals of the
15th. Instant convened upon the vacancy of an Apothecary to
consider what has been or ought to be the duties and Salary
were read and confirmed Whereby it appeared that the Committee
were of opinion that the following comprehend the necessary
duties of that Office.

Duties Etc.


He is to reside at the House provided for him and not to absent
himself one day without leave of the Bethlem Committee or the
President or Treasurer

He is to desote the whole of his time to the duties of the Hospital
and not to follow any other business.
