Continued Friday 17th. October 1777.

That in the Margin to his said Book he do enter by
what Authority each Prisoner was discharged and it
corrected to be also inserted in the margin.

That he prepare a compleat calendar for the President
and treasurer against the sitting of each Court for the Trial of
Prisoners containing an Account of all Prisoners remaining by
Order of any former Courts the whole number of Prisoners
committed by Warrant from the last Court to that and in Case any
of them have been discharged betwixt the Court Days it be said
in the margin by whom and that he have those discharged ready
to Produce and that the said Calendars be examined if right
and signed by the Steward as also himself Asserting they are so.

That in Case of escapes he use his best endeavours to retake the
Prisoner and that the President it and treasurer be acquainted
with such escapes and retaking if they are got again.

That he view the Prisoners well and cause his Man the
Matron and her Servant the Beadles Hemp dresser and his
Servant to de the same and if they know any of the Prisoners to
have been in the Hospital before that he do insert it in the
Calendar that it may be read to the Court.

To Keep the Prisoners safe and clean till they shall be
duly discharged and to deliver them daily to the Hemp dresser
and visit them in the Shops to see that they be kept to labour
and not abused to enter daily in his dict Book the due Number
of Prisoners to be charged to the Hemp dresser and the true reason
why any of them are not at labour if any such there be and to
being the diet Book every Monday Morning with the Preceding
Weeks Account entered therein to the Steward to enter in his
Book to compare his Book with the Stewards and sign the
Stewards diet Book when so compared to couch the same if
right.

To give an Account to the Steward when any Prisoner is
sick and not able to work that he may send for the Physician
Surgeon or Apothecury as Occasion may be.

To make a faithful report to the Clerk of the Hospital some
convenient time before Easter of the Number of Prisoners
committed in the Year past that it may be Printed in the
Annual Easter Report.
