Continued Wednesday 1st. October 1777.

sent to his House. That he never received any Gratuity from
Mr. Horne for his trouble. And it further Appears by the
Evidence of Mr. John Gozna< no role > Apothecary . That he has been
Apothecary about five Years. That for about four or five Months
past Provisions have been been several times sent to Mr. Horne
Believes about a Quarter of a Loaf of Bread, never saw any Cheese
but once heard some Butter was sent. That the Basket was
once brought to the Butter was sent. That the Basket was
white in it which he took to be Milk and some thing in a Cloth
That about two Months ago Mr. Horne came into the Kitchen
(where he and the Steward happened to be) and complained
he had not his Milk time enough in the Morning and therefore
desired he would take it in for him at the Shop which he
afterwards did. That about five Months ago he has seen
Mr. Horne give the Steward Money believes about two or
three Shillings. That about a fortnight ago. Mr. Horne came to
the Hospital in the Stewards Absence and Ordered a Neck of
Mutton to be sent to his House as he said he wanted something
to make up his Dinner. That he never heard the Steward
give Orders to send things to Mr. Horne but believes such
Orders were given. That about three Pints of Milk were
carried every Morning in a Stone Fug by one of the Servants
That Mr. Horne has had of him a Vomit once or twice and
some Tincture of Rhubard And it further Appears by the
Evidence of Mr. William Rashfield< no role > that he has been Steward
about seven Years. That for about four Months past there
has been sent to Mr. Horne by his Orders given to the Cutter
about a Quarter of a Loaf a Day about three Pounds of Cheese
a Week and as much Butter and about four or five Pounds of
Meat a Week and in all that time about one Barrel of Beer
also about a Quart or three Pints of Milk every Morning
That he was told two Jacks of Beer were once sent to Mr.
Horne, he never kept any Account of the things sent. That
Dr. Monro always paid for the Bread he had, and the Money
was put in the Poors Box. That about five or Six Weeks
