The Vacancy of the Steward of Bethlem declared on the Death of
Thomas Hodges< no role >
It is Ordered that it be referr'd to the Grand Committee of
Bethlem Hospital to consider what is the Office and Duty of
the Steward and also what Regulations and alterations may
be made therein and Report their Opinion thereon to the Court And
it is further Ordered that Mr treasurer be at Liberty to Summon
the Grand Committee to meet at Bridewell Hospital

or Allowance may be reasonable for the same & Report their Opinion
to this Court

Lease to Assign Lease


Upon Reading the Petition of Willm Holmes< no role > of the Parish of
St John Hackney Gentlm & Elizabeth Holmes< no role > of the Parish of St
Bennet Fink in the City of London Spinster in the Words and
figures following Vizt. That your Worships on the 23d. June
1755 by Indenture of that Date demised a Piece of Ground situate
in Bishop Gate Street and old Bethlem and the 5 Houses thereon Built
and in the said Lease Particularly described to John Holmes< no role > of the
Parish of St. Botolph Bishopgate London Esqr . To hold to him his
Executors Administrators and Assigns from Lady 1754 for the Term
of 59 Years at the Rent of £30 clear of all Taxes and Deductions and
under certain Covenants Restrictions and Agreements in the said Indenture
mentd.

That the said John Holmes< no role > departed this Life on or about the 29th.
July 1758 having first duly made his will dated the 27th April 1757
wherein he bequeathed the said Leasehold Premises to your Petitioners
and to Timothy Ruller< no role > since Deceased their Executors Admors and Assigns
