At this Court the Vacancy of a Porter
of Bethlem Hospital
by
the Death of Mr.
John Wood< no role >
was declared And Ordered that
the Election of a Porter be at the next Court.
Bethlem Hospl to be rapaird
where ye fire damaged
Ordered it be referr'd to the Comittee of Bethlem Hospital to
Order the repair of that part where the Fire was Notwithstanding
the Order of Court of the 30th. of Novr. 1739 That no Contract be
made for Provisions or other Matters for the Use of the Hospitals
Exceeding in the whole £20 without Publishing at least 14 days
Notice for Agreeing with the Psons who shall offer the lowest price
Beth Hospl. application to be
made to ye City for lease for a
door way in Load Wall
for the Apothecary
It being represented to the Court that the Apothecary of Bethlem
Hospital has no way to go to & from his Shop & Appartment but
through the long Gallery of Men Patients which is Inconvenient and
Dangerous Especially in an Evening Ordered that Application be
made to the Comittee of City Lands for leave to make a Door way in
London Wall on the Southside of the Hospital And that a Door be made
as the Comittee of the Hospital shall direct for the Use of the
Apothecary and he only to have the Key.
