March Instant under the hands of Robert Alsop< no role > Esqr. Aldn. Trear
Dr. Richard Rawlinson< no role > Edward Umfreville< no role > Esqr & John Lock< no role > Esqr
as follows Vizt.Whereas at a Court held 24th. Novr. last a Motion
being made That John Deeming< no role > Weaver late Apprentice here to John
Ittery
< no role > and had reced £10. of Mr. Locks Gift might have some part of
Mr. Fowkes Gift having behaved himself with Extraordinary diligence
and Sobriety diving his whole ApprenticeshipAnd the like
Motion for James Band< no role > Weaver late Apprentices to Thos. Keil< no role >
And the like Motion for Walter Stammer< no role > late Apprentice
to George Male< no role > It was referr'd to this Comittee to enquire about
the behaviour of the sd. Deeming, Band, & Stammer respectively &
whether or no it merits Extraordinary favorAnd this Comittee
have Accordingly Enquired and from the Information they have
received are of Opinion That each of them deserves £5. of Mr
Fowkes GiftAnd hope it will be an Encouragement to other
Apprentices in this Hospital to follow good Examples All which
is Nevertheless Submitted to the Judgment of the Court
This Court haveing duly Weighed and Considered the sd.
Report doth Confirm the same And Order That the Clerk
do pay to the sd. John Deeming, James Band, & Walter Stammer
Each Five Pounds out of Mr. Fowkes Gift.

as follows ViztUpon Reading the humble Petition of John
Edwin
< no role > of Salisbury Court Fleetstreet London Watchmaker Settingforth
That he proposes to take a House in Bridewell Precinct (No. 56 ) late
in the Occupation of James Goodwin< no role > for 3 Years from Lady day next at the Yearly
rent of £18. Payable Quarterly at the Compting House at Bridewell Hospl.
Hospital and to take a Lease thereof with usual Covenants and a Covenant to
Serve the Office of Chappel warden and Overseer of the Poor when Elected in
the Usual manner and to pay his Proportion with the other Inhabitants
in the said Precinct towards the Scavenger, Watch, and PoorAnd praying
a Lease AccordinglyThis Comittee having Considered the same are
are of Opinion to Accept the said Proposal And the said John Edwin being
called in and Acquainted therewith Agreed thereto and gave 2s.6d to the
Poors boxAll which is Submitted to the Judgment of the Court
This Court having duly Weighed and Considered the said Report doth
Confirm the same And Order that a Lease be made to the said John Edwin
Accordingly.
