At this Court Wm. Seward< no role > Esqr. & Mr. William Tyser< no role > reported a good
Character of John Garland< no role > who Served his Apprenticeship in this
Hospital to Samuel Geldard< no role > Glover , Order'd that Mr. Treasurer
be desired to pay the said John Garland Ten pounds out of Mr Fowkes
Gift to be allowed him in his next Account.

Bethlem, Clerk his fees
to be taken upon Admission of
P [..] ions from 1st. Mar next to be
fairly Iron scribed & bring up
in the Comee room at Bethlem &
the Clerks office in Bridewell}


Order'd that Copys of the Report relating to the Clerks Fees to be
taken upon the Admission of Patients into Bethlem Hospital
from the 1st. of March next be fairly Transcribed & hung up in
the Comittee room at Bethlem Hospital and the Clerk's Office in
Bridewell Hospital.

Beadles of Bridewell
Grat ½ yr, X. 1759}


Upon Reading the humble petition of the four Beadles & Portersman
of this Hospital for their Usual Gratuities of Forty shillings a peice for
the half year ending at Christmass last for their Salaries no but Small
It is Order'd that Mr. Treasurer be desired to pay unto them Forty
Shillings a peice to be Allowed him in his next Court.

Basketman of Bethlem
Grat. ½ yr. X. 1759}


Upon Reading the humble petition of the three Basket men of
Bethlem Hospital for their Usual Gratuities of Twenty shillings a peice
for the half year ending at Xmas last for their Salaries no be Small
It is Order'd the Mr. Treasurer be desired to pay unto them Twenty
Shillings a peice to be Allowed him in his next Account.

Bethlem Clerk to be ye
£100 P ann in [..] of Fees
here to fore [..] paid on the
[..] ad mery of patients into the
sd. Hospital}


Order'd that £100 P Ann be paid to the Clerk in [..] of all Fees
here to fore paid to him upon the Admission of Patients into the said
Hospital of Bethlem either previous of Subsequent thereto from the
1st. of March 1760

Woodhouse Mr. John
Elected Clerk}


At this Court the humble petition of Mr. John Woodhouse was read
as follows ViztThat the Clerkship of these Hospitals being
Vacant by the death of Mr. Saml. John< no role > And praying the Govrs.
will be pleased to Elect him Clerk in the room of the sd. Mr Saml. John
This Court doth Unanimously Elect the said John Woodhouse< no role >
Clerk (giving Security as Usual) until the next Election day.
