Benjamin Adamson< no role > Esqr. as Governors of these Hospitals. P

Beadles Grat ½ Yr Xmas 1755


Upon Reading the humble Petition of the three Beadles and
Porters Man of this Hospital and Ann Morgan< no role > Wido of Robert Morgan< no role > the Senior Beadle lately deced for the Usual Gratuities of Forty shillings
a peice for the half year ending at Xmas last for their Salarys are
but Small It is Ordered that the Clerk of these Hospitals Do give &
pay unto them Forty Shillings a peice to be Allow'd him in his next Accot.

Upon Reading the humble petition of the three Beadles or Basketmen
of the Hospital of Bethlem for their Usual Gratuities of Twenty shillings
a peice for the half year ending all Xmas last for that their Salarys are but
Small It is Ordered that the Clerk of these Hospitals Do give & pay
unto them Twenty shillings a peice to be Allowed him in his next Accot.

under the hands of Robert Alsop< no role > Esqr Aldn. Trear Dr Richard Rawlinson< no role > , Edward
Umfreville
< no role > Esq , and Mr Joseph Vere< no role > as followingElizabeth Mugleston< no role > &
Catherin Mugleston< no role > having sent into this Comee a Proposal for a House in Fowks Court
(No. 2 ) they were called in & their sd. Proposal read as followsTo take of the Govrs.
of Bethlem Hospital London a House in Fowkes Court otherwise Dolphin Court being
the second House on the right hand from Tower Street late in Occupation of John Dimber< no role >
Esqr from Xmas next for One year certain & Bitten the Warning to be given on either
side & to pay the rent of £28 a year by Even quarterly payments at the Compting house
at Bridewell Hospital at the four Most Usual Feast And keep the Glass windows in
Repair And so deliver up the same Together with the Several things mentioned in the
Inventory to the sd. proposal Annex't whole & undefaced reasonable Use & wearning in the
mean time ExceptedAnd being called in a 2d. time & Ask't to mend their said
Proposal they sd. they cou'd not Whereupon the Comittee having Considered the sd
Proposal are of Opinion to Accept the same And they being called in & Acquainted
therewith gave 2/6 to the Poors box All which is Nevertheless Submitted to the
Judgment of the CourtThis Court haveing duly weighed & Considered the sd
Report doth Confirm the sameAnd the said Eliza Mugliston & Cathn. Mugliston
having on or before last Christmas day Entred into Possion of the sd Premes It is
Order'd that they hold the same According to their sd Proposal on their Signing
an Agreement to the same Effect.
