A Motion being made That in regard to the Extraordinary Diligence
of Mr. Richard Pice< no role > the Porter of this Hospital a Gratuity be given him for his good
Services for the time past since the Court gane him a Gratuity and the Sum of
Twenty Six pounds being new proposed and the question thereupon
putIt is Ordered That the latter end of this Morth The Clerk do
pay to the said Richard Pice< no role > Twenty Six pounds as a Gratuity for
his said Services.

Upon Reading the humble Petition of Thomazine Duffield< no role > Widow and
Rehit of [..] Administratrix of John Duffield< no role > deced Setting forthThat the Govrs.
by Indre of Lease dated 11th. Decr. 1763 Demised to Christopher Appleby< no role > Esq (since
deced) a peice of ground and a Messe & buildings thereon Orented on the West side
of the Highway between the Chappel Gard and Bridewell DockAnd one other
peice of grand or Wharse on the West side of Bridewell Dock (Except to the Governors
their Officers and Artsmasters Liberty to Land and Carry Over the sd. Wharse Wood
Cools & other Goods for their own use without paying Wherf age To hold from
Xmas 1731 for 21 Years at £10 P Ann rent clear of Taxes and a Fine of £180
which Lease will Expire at Xmas 1752.

That your Petitioners said Husband proposed and Agreed to take a Loose
of the said premes from the Expiration of the said Lease in being for 21 years at the
rent of £10. P Ann clear of Taxes and a Fine of £150 and within three years to lay
out £200 in Necessary Repairs and to give the Governors a true Account thereof
when required and to Execute a Counter part of such Lease with usual Covenants
and a Covenant That he or the Tenant or Occupyer of the said Messe a Tenement
from time to time wou'd Serve the Office of Chappel warden of the said Recinet
when Elected thereto in the usual MannerAnd wou'd pay to the Chappel wardens
of the said Hospital and Precinct for the time being all such Sums of Money and
the usual Meetings comonly called Vestry Meetings of the Chappelwardens and
Inhabitants of the said Precinct shou'd from time to time be rated a Assossed upon
the Occupyer of the said premes in equall Proportion with the rest of the Tenants
or Occupyers of Mosses or Tonements in the said Precinet towards the Charge of
the Scavenger Watch and Poor of the Precinct

And that the Court 6th. of Septr last the Governors were pleased to Order a Lease
to be made to the Petitioners and Husband AccordinglyBut he happened to dye--
Intestate before the Lease was madeTherefore praying that such Leave may be made
to Her she being willing to comply with the Terms and pay the said TimeIt is
Ordered that the sd Lease be made to the sd. Thomazine Duffield< no role > Administrix of.
her said late husband.

Ordered That the Money to be received for the Anniuties to belonging to these Hospitals
which are to be paid off be laid out in the Names of the Resident Treasurer, and
Auditor General Vizt. £1000 New South Sea Anniuties to Bridewell Hospital in
Bank 3 P cont Anniuties of Lettery 1726And £3500. Old South South Sea bountys.
to Bethlem Hospital, in some other 3 P Cont Anniutys.

Cent Anniuties £3500 South Sea Anniuties £512.16.5 East Inda Stock and £600
Millien Baks Stock Standing in the Name of the said to be Trear and belonging to hefe
HospitalsAnd also to receive the Dividends due and to grow due on the said
Anniuties and Stocks and pay the same to the said President Trear and Auditors their
Receipt or the Receipt of any one of them shall be Sufficient Discharge to the said
Mrs. Gilly.
