concerning ye Same & to Report}

At this Court the Report of the Grand Comittee of Bethlem Hospital with
the Assistance of the Plysicians Surgeons and Apethecarys who are Govr. under the
hands of Robert Alsop< no role > Esqr Trear Mr Thos. Berwick< no role > , Mr John Rily< no role > , Mr John Perkin< no role >
Mr John Whalley< no role > , Mr Robert Elliott< no role > , Mr Richd Blunt< no role > , Dr James Monro< no role > Mr Chas
Cotton
< no role > , Dr . John Monro< no role > , & Dr . James Hawley< no role > dated the 14th. Instant was read as
follows ViztIn Pursuance of an Order of Court the 1st. of Novr last The
Comittee have Considered of a Proper place in the Hospital for an Apothecary Shop
and are of Opinion that it wou'd be proper at the South East end of this Hospital
Adjoyning to the Shaw barnAnd having Ordered the Workmen to made as Plan
and Estimate of the Charge of building a Shop and a Room below Stairs with 2 Rooms
over em conveinent for the residence of an Apothecary if the Court shall think
it Necessary They have laid the same before the Comittee amounting to £124.13
All which is Never the loss Submitted to the Judgment of the Court And
it is Ordered that this be Reported to the CourtAnd that part of the Report
from the Comittee of this House dated the 8th. day of May 1750 which by an Order
of Court the 16th. of the same Month was to be further Considered ViztThat it
wou'd be for the Advantage of the Hospital and greater benefit of the Patients
That an Apothecarys Shop be kept in Bethlem Hospital after the manner of
Saint Bertholomew Hospital [..] read this Court having considered the same doth
Confirm the same Nomine CoutradicenteAnd Order that it be referred to the
same Comittee to carry the sd. Resolution into Execution And that they do proceed-
in every thing Necessary concerning the Appothecarys Shop and front time to time
Report their proceedings to the Court.

Mr Treasurer Acquainted this Court that on the 12th Instant he received
of Mrs. Eleanor Curzon< no role > £2000 to be applyed one half to the use of the
Curable Patients in Bethlem Hospital and the other half for the benefit of
the Incurables being what she Apprehends was intended by her late Brother
William Curzon< no role > Esqr deceased to whom she is Admitrix

This Court doth Ellect Sir Nathanel Curzon< no role > Barrtt . to be one of the Governor
of these Hospitals & Order that a Staff be forthwith sent to him Not with Standing
the Order of Court the 29th day of April 1748.

a Staff be forthwith sent to him Notwithstanding the Order of Court the 29th.
