Upon Reading a Repot from the Comittee of this House dated 9th Novr. 1750
(referred by the Court 1st. Novr. last) Under the hands of Robert Alsop< no role > Esq Aldr. Trear
Mr. Chas Cotton< no role > , Ed Phineas Cheek< no role > Esq. John Lock< no role > Esq. Mr Deputy Pycroft, & [..] Saml.

< no role > a follows ViztUpon Reading the humble Petition of William Hawys< no role > -
of London Sugar broker (referred by the Court 1st. Novr last) was read Settingforth
That the Petrs. late Father Wm. Hawys< no role > held a house in Fowkes Court (No.4) belonging
to Bethlem Hospital of from Mild st. 1744 at 28th P Ann payable quarterly as Ten at will
at the time of his Death which happened about a year ago sime which the Petr has-
hold the same & Acqainted the late Trear that he was willing to take a Lease for 11 or 21
Years of the Govrs. woud Order it to be Painted as the Rest of the Houses in the same
Court had then lately been & some other Small Necessary Reparis which the Trear
desired him to do and told him the Charge shou'd be Allowed him on his takeing a
Lease & he has Accordingly done the same & pd. the bill accounting to above £30
And praying the Govrs. to grant him a Lease of the sd House at the same rent
of £28 clear of Taxes for 2 Yrs determinable at the end of the first 11 Yrs on 6 Weeks
Notice on either side for that Purpose And that upon his Executing a Counter part of
Such Lease he may be allowed the Money he has laid out in the sd. Necessary
RepairsThis Comee being Satisfyed as to the Allegations of the sd Pett are
thereof to allow him £28 for the sd Painting & Repairs Whereupon the sd. Mr.
Hawys gave a Guinea to the Poors box All with is Nevertheless Submitted to
the Judgment of the Court And it is Ordered that this Opinion be Reported to the
CourtsThis Court haveing duly weighed and considered the sd. Report doth
confirm the same & Order that a Lease be made to the sd Wm. Hawys Accordingly

Fowks Court (No.2) Rept}


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Peter Hussy< no role > and John Dunbar< no role > of
London Merchants Setting forthThat your Petr. Hussey Agreed with Mr John
Gregory
< no role > Extor ofBostook Widow to take the House which he hold his Fowkes
Court (No.2) from Laday last and he has quitted the same to the Petr Dunbar who
is now in Possion thereof and is willing to pay the Old rent of £28 P Ann from
last LadayAnd praying the Govern [..] to grant a Lease of the sd House to
the Petr Dunbar at the same rent of £28 P Ann from last Laday for 5 Years
Determin able upon Notice on either side bill on the before the Expiration of the
first three yearsIt is Ordered that the sd Petition be referred to the Comee
of this House to consider there of And report there Opinion there on to the Court

Upon Reading the humble Petition of John Platt< no role > of London Linnen draper
Setting forthThat the Petr proposes to take a Lease with usual Covenants
between the Govr. and their Tenants of a House in Lyme street Square (No.2)
for 11 or 21 Years to Comence from Middsr. next at £19 P Ann rent clear of Taxes
and to lay out £160 in Necessary Repairs & to Execute a Counterpart of such Lease
And praying the Govrs. to grant him a Lease AccordinglyIt is Ordered that
the sd. Petition be referred to the Comittee of this House to Consider thereof and
Report their Opinion thereon to the Court.
