Upon reading a Report from the Grand Comittee of Bethlem Hospital
bearing date the 9th. of March instant under the hands of Robert Bishop< no role >
Esqr . Trear . Mr. Mark Holman< no role > , Mr. Deputy Ballard, Mr. Thomas Cox< no role > . Mr.
William Fletcher< no role > , and Mr. James Bartlett< no role > in the words and figures
following Vizt.It is the Opinion of this Comittee That John Gandell< no role >
Barber to this Hospital be allowed Thirty two pounds P Ann for Sharing
the Patients in Bethlem Hospital to commence from Christmass last If
the Court shall think fittAnd It is Ordered that this Opinion be
reported to the next CourtThis Court having duly weighed and
considered the said Report doth Confirm the same.

Upon reading the humble Petition of Francis Veale< no role > Weaver Setting forth
That he served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr. Gabriel Bestman< no role >
late one of the Artsmaster s of this Hospital by Indre dated the 9th. Octr. 1727
and by an Order of Court of the 2d. of July 1736 . he was on the 8th. of
November 1737 . made free of this City and is set up for himself in his said
Trade at Mr. Hook's a Plaisterer in little Sword bearer's Ally near the
Woolpack in Chiswell street Moorfields And the Court being informed
that the Comittee of this House on the 22d of February be inspected the
Book kept of Apprentices behaviour and found not Complaint against
himIt is Ordered that Mr. George Bludworth Mr. Deputy Ballard
and Mr. Pestellthree of the Governors of these Hospitals or any
two of them be desired to inquire whether the said Francis Veale< no role > be [..]
up in his Trade and of his hopefullness therein and to make their Report
to the Court.

inquir'd after for Lock's gift}


Upon reading the humble Petition of John Eccutt Shoemaker Setting forth
That he served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr. Francis Read< no role > late one of
the Artsmaster s of this Hospital by Indre dated the 19th. March 1724/5 and by
an Order of Court of the 15th. of Decr. 1737 . he was on the first of February
1737. made free of this City and is set up for himself in his said Trade
at Mrs. Smith's at the Rose and Crown in Salisbury Court Fleetstreet
And the Court being informed that the Comittee of this House on the 22d. of
Febry last inspected the Book kept of Apprentices behaviour and found no
Complaint against himIt is Ordered that John Tayler< no role > Esqr . Mr. Deputy
Child and Mr. John Watts< no role > three of the Governors of these Hospitals or any two
of them be desired to inquire whether the said John Eccutt be set up in his Trade
and of his hopefullness therein and to make their Report to the Court.

Upon reading the humble Petition of James Farnsworth< no role > Weaver Setting forthThat
he served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital part to Mr. Thomas Serjeant< no role > late one of the
Artsmaster s of this Hospital by Indre dated the 25th. January 1725 . and the other
part to Mr. George Male< no role > one of the Artsmaster s of this Hospital and by an Order
of Court of the [..] 15th. of Decr. 1737 . he was on the 19th. day of January 1737 . made
free of this City and is set up for himself in his said Trade at Mr. Borders in
King's Head Court SheolaneAnd the Court being informed that the Comittee
of this House on the 22d day of Febry last inspected the Book kept of
Apprentices behaviour and found no Complaint against himIt is Ordered
that John Tayler< no role > Esqr . Mr. Deputy Child & Mr. John Watts< no role > three of the Governors
of these Hospitals are any two of them be desired to inquire whether the said James
Farnsworth
