in persuance of an Order of Court of the Second day of March Last
have considered of the Petition of

the widdow

Thomas Baily< no role >
deced Late Steward
of this hospital Setting
Forth That her said husband being under misfortunes & indebted
to this hospital the Petr. joined with him in Sale not only of what
was Settled upon her in Jointure but also of Lands which descended
to her after Marriage by the death of her Mother without which
her said husband would have been incapable of contuinueing his
office or maintaining his family whilst he Lived That the Petr.
is left destitute of all manner of Subsistance and has three
Children of which one will never be able to get his Livelyhood
And praying the Court to take into consideration her unhappy
Circumstances and to afford her Such assistance therein as to them
Shall Seem meet This Comee are of opinion to give unto the Petr.
the sume of Seventy poundswhich nevertheless is Submitted
to the Judgment of ye CourtOrdered that it be referred back
to the said Comittee to examine whether there be any presidents
of the Courts giveing money to the widdow of any Steward
of this hospital who has dyed poor and to Report the Same
with their Opinion thereon to this Court and that in the mean
time the Clerke do give and pay unto the sd

house dated the 12th. day of this Instant June Setting forth
That in pursuance of an Order made at a Court holden at this hospll.
the 18th day of May Last This Comee haveing considered of the
gentlemen following who were

hospitals It is the Opinion of this Comee that they are
very proper persons to be Governours
if the Court Shall think fitt
