2d Decr. 1715.

the Stick with which he defended himselfe was broke and then
the Mobb took him away from them That there was not one
Blew Coat besides himselfe amongst the Mobb till halfe
an hour after this happened and that he was not in any Mobb
on the 31th. of Octor.

Hudson Said that on the 20th. of Octor. about 6 o'Clock at
night he went up the Old Bailey by himselfe with intent to go
to See his uncle in Moorefeilds and went that way to avoid a
Mobb which he heard was got together in Cheapside to burn
Some figuresThat a Constable Seized him and Said he
would Send him to ye Counter but a woman happening to go
by Soon after who knew him Said She would pass her word
for him he was a Civil Boy and So the Constable Discharged
him and he went directly home to the Hospital and Stirrd &
further agen that night than to the Bull Alehouse at the Hospll
Gate That he had no Stick and that none of the Blew
Coat Boys were near him when the Constable took him

Barrett Said he went out with the rest of the Boys
between five & Six in the Evening on the 20th. of Octor & went
up Ludgate Hill and So to St. Sepulchres (without any disorder
to get money for a Bonfire That they got but halfe a Crown
which with the money they had Collected in the Hospital and
precinct amounted to Ten Shillings & two pence half penny of
which he Spent Ten Shillings with the rest of the apprentices at
the Bull Alehouse next the Hospital Gate and by their
consent kept ye Two pence Halfe pennyThat they
came to the Bull Alehouse a Little after Six and as Soon as
the money was Spent he went house and was in Bed by a
Quarter after 8 and knew not what happened afterwards
upon Ludgate Hill That he was not many Mobb on ye 31th. nor
further from the Hospital than ye Bear in Bride Lane
