The State of ye Case}

A Report from the Comee of this house was read
in these words vizt.Bridewell London Ss.At a
Comee 15th: Novemr. 1715.

The Comee of this hospital being by an Order of ye.
Court holden at the said Hospital the 9th. Instant appointed
to examine and State the matter of the Late Complaints that
had been made concerning the Apprentices in this hospital
have agreed upon the following Report there of to be made to ye
Court Viztr.

A State of the matter as it has appeared to the
Governours of this hospital upon Several Complaints of
disorders Comitted by the apprentices belonging to this
hospital on the 20th day of Octor. Last being the Anniversary
of the Coronation of his Majesty King George and on ye.
31th. of ye Same Month being the Anniversary of the Birth
of his Royal Highness The Prince of Wales

The Right honble. The Lord Viscount Townshend his Majtys.
Principal Secretary of State writt a Letter to the Governours
of this hospital dated the 3d instant as FollowesGentlemen
His Majestys haveing been informed that Some disorders
have been Comitted in a Riotous manner by Several Blew
Coates or others belonging to Bridewell Hospital under yor.
CareI am directed to Speake to you about it and am
therefore to desire that some of your Body will please to
come to me at my office to morrow morning at Twelve
which Letter being read at a Court holden the 4th. Instant
a Comittee was appointed who went and attended his Lordsp.
imediately and being returnedMr. Treasurer Reported
to the Court That his Lordsp. Spoke to ye Comee to the
Same effect as is menconed in his Letter and desired
that the Governours would take care to prevent any disorders
being Comitted by the Apprentices of this Hospll for ye Future
