Upon reading the humble petition of

Setting forth That he haveing lately bought the
remaining Term in a Lease of two houses & a Wharfe near
Execution Dock
granted to
Thomas Mottley< no role >
From Lady day 1701
for 41 years and the Petr. haveing begun to Repair ye sd. premises
the workmen find them so bad that he must Rebuild ye same
the Charge whereof will be great there being but five & Twenty
years & a halfe unexpired in the said Lease And praying
the Court to accept of a Surrender of the said Lease and to
grant him a new Lease for fifty one years under the same
Rent and Covenants for which he is willing to pay a fyne of
Ten Pounds and Rebuild the said houses after ye second
Rate of Building It is Ordered That the Consideration
of the said Petition be Referred to the Comee of this house who
are desired to Report to this Court what they think proper to be
done therein
