This Court being informed That Mr. John Salmon< no role > late
Cittizen and Haberdasher of London deced by his Last Will and
Testamt. dated the 30th. day of July 1709 did (inter al) give
to the Cheife Governors. of Christ Church Hospital in London &
their Successors for ever the Same of five hundred pounds
In Trust that they Should lay out the Same to and for
the use and benefitt of the poor Children belonging to the Sd
Hospital and their Successors And that the sd five hundred
pounds night be put out at Interest or laid out in a purchase
of Lands So as the yearly Rents and profitts there of night be
added to the yearly Revenue of the said Hospital towards
the better maintenance and provision of the said Children and
their Successors But if the Constitucon of the sd Hospital
would not admitt of Such a Settlemt. or disposicon of the said
five hundred pounds then the same to be applyed to the use
of the said Hospital in Such Manner as the Cheife Governors
of the said Hospital for the time being at a Generall Court
to be for that purpose held Should direct & appoint
Item the said Testator gave to the Cheife Governors of
the Hospital of Nero Bethlem in Moor feilds London for the
time being and to their Successors the Sume of Two hundred
pounds in Trust that they lay out and dispose of the same
to and for the use and benefitt of the poor distracted people
belonging to the said Hospital in the same or the like manner
as he had before Settled and given the Sume of five hundred
pounds to the use of Christ Church Hospital in London And
of his said Will made Mr Benjamin smith< no role > Mr Jeremy Powell< no role >
and Mr James Townsend< no role > Executors and directed that his said
Executors should be Trustees & Supervisors of that part of his
said Will as related to the Hospitals & Charitable uses
And the said Executors being ready to pay the sd. Legacy
upon haveing a proper discharge for the same Itt is Orderd
That the Right Worshippfull Sr. John Cass< no role > Knt . & Alderman
Treasurer of these Hospitals be desired to receive the said
Two hundred pounds to be applyed according to the direction
of the said Will and to give the said Execrs. a proper discharged
for the same
