Also it is Ordered that for the Future where any
Comittee is appointed for any matter whatsoever the
Whole Comittee be Summoned upon all occasions wtsoever
and not a part thereof as hath been formerly used upon

Wapping Comitted


Also upon readeing the peticon of Severall of the
Tenants in and about Wapping Dock in the County of Middx
belonging to Bridewell Hospll. Setting forth That one John
Merrihurst
< no role > in the Year 1672 took a Lease of Sevall houses
wth a Wharfe Etc. for 43 Years from that time the Govors by the
Sd Lease thought fitt for the benefitt of their Tents. about
Wapping Dock to reserve to themselves a certain pair of stairs
eight foot wide together wth a Way or passage between Wapping
Street and the Sd. Stairs and the Oliver of Themes to be a Way
or passage for all manner of persons wth their Horses
Cattle Carts and Carriages to go pass ride drive along carry
and recarry in by over and thro the sd. Way Passage and
Wharfe at all seasonable times rendring to the sd. John
Merrihurst such reasonable Wharfeage as had been
Usually taken for landing and conveying goods at other
Warfes (Except Wharfeage of any of the Tenants in
Wapping belonging to the Hospll. of Bridewell for any goods
or Wares brought or Carried over the Same Way passage
or Stairs for their owne Pticular or private Use and for
all Small things brought by men or Women in their hands
or upon their Armes or heads for wch. no Wharfage should be
Required unless they be goods or Wares concering their
Trade or Calling to be Sold or bought

That one John East< no role > who purchased part of the Interest
of the sd. Jno. Merryhurst< no role > undr. Colour of the sd. Excepcon
hath Exacted and Demanded of the Hospll. Tenants Severall
Rates and prises for the Wharfeage of such Goods as they have
Occasion to bring for the Use of their private Familys for wch.
No Wharfage is due Whereupon it is Ordred That it be Referred to
Mr. Trear Gardiner Sr Gabll. Roberts< no role > Knt. Jno. Turvine< no role > Esqr . Mr
Roydhouse Mr. Warburton Mr. Gabll. Smith< no role > Mr. Rouse Mr. Shelton
Mr. Cottle and Mr. Furness or any five of them to View the
prmisses and to Examine the matter of of the sd. Peticon and to
Report their opineon therein to this Court Whereupon this
Court will make such Order therein as shall be Just
