Upon the Application of Mr. Mary Hamersley< no role > This name instance is in set 1954. Widow
Rehit and Execr . of Mr. Hugh Hamersley< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. decd (late
a Tenant of the Hospll of Bethlem) to this Court for a
Lycene to alien and Assigne the Senall houses and ground
holden of the said Hospll. of Bethlem to Mr. George Horsneale< no role >
Cittizen and Barber Surgeon of London for all the Terme
to come of the Lease thereof from the Said Hospll. It is
Ordered That She have the Lycence of this Court to
assigne the same accordingly pursnant and according to the
Coverants and Agreemts. in the said Lease conteyned in
that behalfe

Also upon reading to this Court a Report of a Comitte
of Bethlem Hospitl. touching the prices proposed for
gilding and painting the New Tables for Bone faccons to
the said Hospitl. and desiring the direccon of this Court
whither (considering the Charge) the same Should be done
with Gold on Lacker This Court doth think fitt and Soe
Order that the Same be done with Gold and that it be
referred back to the Same Comittee to Order the doeing
thereof & to agree for the same as they in their discretion

Also upon the humble Petition of Francis Wood< no role > Porter of
the Hospitl. of Bethlem and of Gart wright his wife Setting
forth that the said Gartwright hath been Matron or
house keeper of the said Hospll. of Bethlem for these Seaven
Yeares last past where She hath managed and looked
after the Maid servants to the provisions & other the affaires
of the said Hospitl. and had never had allowance Salary
or Gratuity for the Same and that the said Francis Woods
Sallary is but £10. P Ann for the taking Care of his family
humbly praying there fore that this Court would please to
allow to the Said Gart wright Wood in respect of her being
Matron of the said Hosptl. Such Sallary or Gratuity and in
Such manner as should Seeme meet This Court upon
Consideracon of the said Petition And receiving a good Acct.
from Sewall Governrs. of the said Hosptl. of the paines and
Care of the said Gartwright Wood Doe Order that the
Said Gartwright Wood have a Sallary or allowance of
Eight pounds a year as Matron of the said Hospll. from
Lady day last and to continued during the pleasure of this
Court.
