The Information of Thomas Evans< no role > Samuel
Sampson
< no role > & George Pritt< no role > [..]
[..] taken before me this 24th. day of
December 1783

Who being on Oath say and first the said Thomas Evans< no role > says
that he is Shopman to the said George Pritt< no role > says that on Friday
last between 2 and 3 o' Clock, two Persons now present who calls
themselves Ann Moore< no role > and Sarah Partridge< no role > came into his
Masters Shop and asked to took at some Persian, and sold them
Half a Yard That said Ann Moore< no role > then asked to took at some
Mode which he shewed her, at which time Partridge stood [..]
by the Fire. That upon Samuel Sampson< no role > coming into the
Shop this Informant went up to Dinner. And the said
Samuel Sampson< no role > says that this Informant sold to the said
Ann Moore< no role > Hatt a yard of Mode & during the time he was
serving her the said Partridge sat by the Fire and near
the Place where the piece of Mode now produced lay. That
said Partridge said she Mad dropped her Sisters Gold ring,
when Mr. Pritt came down stairs and after lighting
Candle found said RIng. That after said Moore & Partridge
were gone he suspected they had stolen some thing and
accordingly followed them in order to see where they would
go to. That they were joined by a third Woman near the Five Bell
Tavern whom he believes to Mary Stokes< no role > now in New Prison
That this Informant traced the said three Women to the House
of Mary Gardner< no role > This name instance is in set 1542. This set is in the group(s): GarrowsClients . new present in Hart Street Count Garden
when he returned and told said Mr. Pritt. And the said
George Pritt< no role > says that the 64 Ells ¼ of Black Mode now
produced is his property and was in his Shop when the said
Moore and Partridge came in. That this Informant upon
