Wages by & with Edmund Cowell< no role > in the parish of Waltham
abbey in the county of Essex Farmer & Continued in such service
for the space of two years & by means thereof gained a legal Settlemt
there That he has not Since lived as a hired Servant for a year or
rented a house of Ten pounds a year or upwards or served any parish
office or paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes or done any Act to
gain another Settlement That he hath a Wife named Sarah < no role > and
a child named Sarah < no role > aged about Six years the lawful Issue
of this Depont by his said wife to whom he was lawfully married

Irishman & to her knowledge or belief never did any Act to gain
a Settlement in England That this Depont can give no account
respecting the Settlement of her late parents or either of them
having never received any information relative there to save that
She has been informed that they were born in Stafordshir but
the place where She cannot setforth That She this Deponent
has been informed that She was also born in the same County but
the place where She cannot discover or set forth That she was
never an Apprentice nor ever lived as a hired servant for a
year nor even did any Act to gain a Settlement for herself save
what she has Acquired by her marriage as aforesaid That
She hath four children namely margaret < no role > aged about twenty years
Judith < no role > aged about Thirteen years Eleanor < no role > aged about Ten
years & Ann < no role > Aged about five years the Issue of this Deponent
by her said husband Nicholas Goffe< no role > Act of whom were born
in the parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the county
of middlesex & have done no Act to gain a Settlement for themselves
