The Information of Joseph Probert< no role > ,and William
Lovett
< no role > , and John Walbey< no role > Taken upon Oath before
one George Reid< no role > Esqr. one of his Majestys Justices of
the Peace in and for the said County this 28th. day
of May 1789.

First this Deponent Joseph Probert< no role >
upon his Oath saith he is by Trade a Taylor and
lives in South Audley Street that about the hour
of Twelve of the night of Wednesday the 27th. Inst.
the was Passing through South Audley Street and
heard a Noise in the Area of Mr. Powell, which
occassioned him to stop, and upon looking into the
Area saw the Prisoner who calls himself John
Millett
< no role > getting up over the Rails which being done, he this
Deponent immediatly seized him, and called
the Watch, and gave him into the Custody of
the Watchman William Lovett< no role > , this Deponent
in Company with the Watchman took him to Sr.
George's Watchhouse, and there gave Charge of him
forofthe Offence aforesaid

Secondly this Deponent William
Lovett
< no role > upon his Oath saith that he is a Watchman
of St. George Hanover Square , that was he calling
ofhalf Past twelve of the night of the 27th. of this
Insr. May, the Prisoner at the Bar, Passed by him
in South Audley Street, some little time afterwards
the Watch was called, he then Immediately ran to the
house of Mr. Powell and saw the other deponent having
hold of the Prisoner atofthe Bar, who then gave Charge
ofof him to this Deponent with having seen him get out
of the Area of the aforesaid Mr. Powell this deponent
then Conveyed him to St. Georges Watchhouse, and
hearing [..] that the said House had lately been broke
open he Questioned him respecting it, who voluntarily
