Lombard Street Richard Hill< no role > of Southampton Street
Bloomsbury Manufactorer of Snuff John Baverstock< no role >
of St. Pauls Church Yard China Man: Martha Baverstock< no role >
Wife of the said John Baverstock< no role > and Daniel Adams< no role >
Junior Clerk to Messrs. Moffatt Hensingtons Boler
and Company taken on Oath before me this
6th. day of May 1789

Who being on Oath severally say and first the said Thomas Beszant
for himself says that on the 28th. day of March last the Draft now
produced purporting to be the Draft of Richard Hill< no role > on Messrs.
Martin, Stone, Foote and Porter payable to Mr I Flood or bearer
Dated London the 27th. day of March 1789 for Sixty Pounds same
brought for payment that he this Informant paid the same
in the following manner (Vizt.) one Bank note No 5205 dated
the 29th. Novr. 1788. for Ten pounds No 4629 the 10th June 1788
£10. No 2988. dated 7th. Jany 1789 £10. No 406 the 16th. Sepr.
1788 £10. and Twenty pounds in East And this Informant
further says that to the best of his knowledge and belief the said Draft to was
presented for payment by a person now present who calls
himself David Coleman< no role > & who received the said Bank notes and
Cash for the Same. And the said Richard Hill< no role > for himself says
that he has kept Cash for may Years at the House of the said
Messrs. Martin, StoneandFoote, and Porter and that he is very
sure the Draft abovementioned for Sixty pounds is not of
his hand Writing And the said John Baverstock< no role > for himself
Says that the person now present who calls himself David Coleman< no role >
