Examination TextPhillis Elliott aged 48 years lodging at Mr Grigory's in the Hop Garden in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her father Richard Elliott lived in and rented an house known by the sign of the Hampshire Hogg near Hanover Street in Castle Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, but how long he kept the said house what rent he paid for the same or when quitted it she this Examinant knoweth not, she being then very young, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes afterwards. Sworn the 22nd Day of September 1756 before Benjamin Cox.
