Examination TextRobert Urwein aged about 67 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Matthew Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex upon his oath saith that before his intermarriage while single and unmarried he was a yearly hired servant to Mr Carson a Distiller near Hungerford Market in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half at the yearly wages of 10 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about 32 years ago, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant since, that he was married to his present wife Mary at St George's Church Southwark about 30 years ago. Sworn the 21st Day of September 1756 before John Goodchild.
