| Examination Text | Ann Shay aged 59 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mary Thomas in Windsor Court in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of three years at the yearly wages of 3 pounds and 10 shillings diet and lodging, quitted the same about 13 years ago, that she never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 24th Day of August 1756 before Benjamin Cox. |
