Examination TextElizabeth Preston aged 19 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Bridget otherwise St Brides London upon her oath saith she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice by the officers of the Parish of St Botolph without Bishopsgate London by an indenture until she should attain her full age of 20 years [sic] or day of marriage to [blank] Hussey a Stationer in Russell Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, and there served about three years and then the officers of the said Parish from where she was bound (on her said Master using her ill) took her away from her said Master and kept her in their school for the space of [blank] years, that she never was a yearly hired servant nor kept house or rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year. Taken in the workhouse of 27th Day of July 1756.
