The Exaicon of Anne Ashwell< no role > Singlewoman lodging
in the Parish of St. Clemt. Danes in the County of Middx taken
the 29th. day of Janry 1739 Who upon her Oath Saith that
She was hired to & lived as a Yearly hired Servt . with one
Mrs. Wood in St. Clemts. Lane in the sd. Parish of St. Clemt.
Danes for the Space of Five Years & then this Exaiant
being Sick was Obleiged to leave her sd. Service & go into
St. Bartholomews Hospitall for her Health and further
Saith that when she came out of the sd. Hospitall she
came & lived as a Yearly hired Servt. with her sd. Mistress
for the Space of one Year & upwds. at the Yearly Wages of
four Pounds ten Shillings and hath been Discharged her sd.
Service abt. two Months, that She never Rented any House or
otherwise gained a Settlemt. in any other Place to her
knowledge or beliefe & is Poor & not able to maintaine
herselfe
