The Examination of Ann Atkinson< no role > Lodging in the Parish of
St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx Singlewoman
Taken the 23d. day of March 1738 Who upon her Voluntary
Oath saith yt. she is Pregnant with Child or Children which
when Born will be a Bastard or Bastards & likely to
become Chargeable to the sd. Parish of St. Clemt. Danes
she this Examint. being Poor & not able to maintaine the
same when Born And further upon her Oath saith that
one Geo: Trevis Taylor did begett the sd. Child or Childn.
on her Body she this Examint. at such time living with
her Father Edwd. Atkinson< no role > in the Parish of St. Ann in the
Liberty of Westmr . Taylor & he the sd. Geo: Trevis< no role > at the
same time hiring Journeyman with her sd. Father Edwd.
Atkinson there became acquainted with her & had Carnall
Knowledge of her Body in a Bed Chamber in her sd. Father's
House Sevll. times & at Sevll. times since at her this Eamints.
Lodging at one of wch times he gott her with the Bastard Child
or Children with wch she is now Pregnt. & that he the sd. Geo:
Trevis
< no role > & no other Person is the true & reall Father thereof
And this Examint. further saith that upwds. of one Year
ago she lived a Yearly hired Servt . with one Mr. Plummer
at the Crown & Scepter in St. Clements Lane in the sd.
Parish of St. Clement Danes for the space of two Years &
