Westminster to wit


Informations of Witness taken this 7th. day
of August 1776 at the Parish of St. John the Evanglet.
in the City of Westminster at the Dwelling House of
St. Peters the Sign of the Roebuck at the Next Houses
on Milbank. Before Thomas Prickard< no role > gentleman His
Majesty's Corner the City and Liberty of Westminster
touching the Death of William Edward Da Costa< no role > then
and there lying Dead, as follow

Jeffrey Wheelock< no role > aged near 14 Years one of the Westminster Scholers
Boarding at Mr. Morell's in Deans Yard on his Oath saith That
Yesterday about Eleven or Twelve o'Clock he went into the
River Thames arth some other young gentleman of Westmr.
School Near by the Roebuck at the Neat Houses Milbank
by the Logs at the Names side, and when in the Water
he tood upon the Dead he believes it was his Head,he called
out here's the Man that was Drowned
Deponent Pulled the
Deced toward the Shore as will as he could and then went
and Dressed himself and afterwards some for hereunto
said
