had his Clothes,saidthe Lad said he was with Chas. Green
at Somerset Stairs a washing, and Saw him Drowned, the
Lad came to Deponent Yesterday in the afternoon and
said he had seen Charles Green< no role > since he was taken up
at Black Lyon Stairs Charles Court , and that he was Mr.
Hall's man, Deponent saw the Deced this Morning but
Cannot take upon him to say whether it is his servant
Charles Green< no role > or no, as the Deced appears to be so
much attend and a blackness all over his Body that
he cannot now discover any traces or likeness of him.

John Hopkins< no role > Servant as a Journeyman to Mr. Jennings a
Flower in the Strand on his Oath saith that on Sunday
Morning last between 10 & 11o'ClockCharles Green came
to the Deponents Father's House in the Savoy and called
out John, and Deponent asked him to come up, he came
up and asked Deponent if he would come in the Water
with him, Deponent said he was not very well he had taken
Physick but said he would go with him, they went together

with Deponents little Brother to Somersets Stairs, as they
went along Charles Green said he sweated and desired the
Deponent to feel which he did and found it very wot
so desired he would stay till he was Cooler for fear he
should catch cold, they all three went into a Barge, and
then his Brother stript & went into the water, and some
time after Charles Green undressed and went in, Deponent
in a few Ninety heard his Brother say to Chas. Green< no role > not
to go two for that way for that he would he Drowned
as it was very decs, Depnt. saw Charles Green was then
out of his Depth and heard him cry out help and put
his Hand up once or twice, and saw him Sink, and
assistance was immediately undertaken by two waterman
in their Boats, and Deponent stayed about a Quarter of
an Hour and ten went home with his Brother and took
Charles Greens Clothes Home Deponent heard Yesterday Evening
that he was taken up at the end of Charles Court , Depont,
went & looked at him and is Jure he was Charles Green
that he saw go into the water on Sunday Morning
