Chair in the room and said he would take a Nap
but he did not, he enquired of the Maid how she did
as she has been Ill some time, the Maid also enquired
how he did, he said he was not well and said he beleived
she would not see him many times more, after Dinner
Deponent called for a Light and went into the Cellar
to look for his Brother, but not Finding him there he
went up into the left, and thought he heard a morning
and staid there about half an hour, as he was not then
he went again to the Maids Room to know when his
Brother went to after he left her, the Maid said she
thought she heard him go into the Back Garrett, and
Deponent then went and found his Brother hanging there
with his Neck bearing on a lord, his Head upright and his
Legs extended on the Floor, he then want ever to Mr. Jones
his Friend who came with him and Mr. Fallw a Surgeon
and his Brother was their unlooked from the LordDepont.
saith his Brother frequently wicot and lay in the Cellar upon

the Boxes, says his Brother often talked of being Precinct
and said the People were talking of him and that the
News Papers were about him, Deponent says his Brother,
was in Situation much as at this time about a Twelve
Month since, but sometimes had Interwals and was
in very good Spirits, he beleives in his own Opinion
that his Brother was of late much Disordered in his Mind.

Saml. Hewitt< no role >

Joseph Ferdinand Gillio< no role > of lower Grosvenor Street
Surgeon on his Oath saith that he was Yesterday at
Mr. Jones's in Grosvenor Street and was desired by Mr. Saml. Hewitt< no role > to go
with him & Mr. Jones on the News of Deceds hanging himself
as they went Mr. Saml. Hewitt exclaimed that he had
not cut him down, Deponent said lets make haste
them, on going into the back Suitt he saw the Decd
hanging almost resting on his Seat and his Legs extented
Depont took his Scissors in order to rent the Rope, Mr.
Saml, Hewitt said he could undo it and disengaged the
