Mr: Coulson
Plumber to
furnish the
Hospitall and
Brewhouse to
Water

Wee made Agreed with Mr: Coulson Plumber in Southworth
to finish this Hospitall together with the Brewhouse and
all the Officers Houses with fresh Water from his waterworkes near the Bank end
for Tenn pounds P Ann In regard that frequent Complaints have
been made by the Officers of this Hospitall that they have for
some time past been very ill Served with water from the works
belonging to Mr: Gulstone.

Wee Take Leave to Acaquaint this Court That wee have
for Severall months past made Tryall of Edward Stanfield< no role > in
the office of Brewer and Butler with in this Hospitall according
to the power for that purpose Given to us by this Court which
Offices he hath discharged to the Generall Satisfaccon of this Comitte
and therefore wee Recomend him to this Court to be Chosen to
the said Offices during the pleasure of this Court and subject to ye
Inspection of the Grand Comittee for the Time being in whom this
Court hath Thought fitt for the Greater Cheque upon the Pson
Executeing those Offices, to Lodge the power of placeing and
Displaceing such Pson as often as they shall see Cause And of
recomending others to this Court to be Chosen to the said Offices.

Allowances
Setled for the
Brewer and
Butler

And in regard the Office or place of Brewer in this Hospitall
is new and that the same is now united to the place of Butler
wee have Setled the following allowances and Regulations with
respect to the person who shall Officiate those Offices Vizt: That
their shall be no Allowance from the Hospitall fro Assistants
That he shall have £20: p ann for wages and Sallary with ye
weekly Allowance and such other pquisites as the Late Butler
had and shall also have the Yest Graines and wash but shall
be oblidged to find Yest for the Brewings at his own Charge
and to lett the Last woorts run over the Backs or Coolers where
the first woorts were Cooled and to draine the woorts Clean
downe from the wash So that the wash shall not Exceed one
Barrell upon every five Quarters of Malt.

Officers to have
Allowances of
Beer.


And there we Take Leave to Acquaint this Court that
wee have Thought it Convenient for the better Encourageing
the Service of this Hospitall That the Severall Officers
hereinafter menconed residing within this Hospitall should
have certaine allowances of Beer from the Hospitall
Brewhouse in the proporcons following vizt

The Trear for the Time being to have Small Beer for
the use of his family residing in the House built for the Trears
within this Hospitall. The Hospitler one Firkin weekly
The Steward one Firkin weekly And the Matron Cook Butler
and Two porters halfe a Firkin every nine daies and that ye
former allowances made to the Matron Cook Butler and
Two porters for small Beer shall be continued And we have
directed that all the said Officers shall find Casks duly Gaged
for their own us [..] respectively and that none of them shall
Give away or sell any of the said Beer.

Wee have agreed with Abraham Atkins< no role > to Grant him
a Lease of three small Tenements in the new way in St.
Thomas'sHospitallParish for one and fifty Yeares from Michas 1709
