Governors refusg:
to serve as Steward


fitt to refuse the same, He shall not at any time afterwards be Sumoned
as a Governr. And they Recomend it to this Woppfull Court, That this
should be made a standing order of this Court such Refusall being (in the
Opinion of this Comittee) an Evidence that such Governr. desires not
any longer to be concerned in the Governing or manageing the
Affaires of this Hospll:

All which neverthelesse we humbly submitt to the
Grave Judgment of this Woppfull Court.

The Report of the proceedings of the Grand Committee since
the last Genll: Court Read. And the Matters therein Reported as
Fitt to be made standing Orders of this Court, relateing to the Age & health
of persons Men or Women hereafter to be Chosen as Officers or Servants
in this Hospll. and relating to such Governrs: as shall hereafter Refuse to
serve as Stewards for providing Dinners att Generall Courts were particularly
considered and agreed to be made standing Orders. And the rest of the
sd. Report was agreed to be Confirmed, & ordered in all points to be observed
and to be Entred in the Reportory of the proceedings of this Court.

The Rt: Woppfull Sr. Robert Clayton< no role > our Prsident earnestly
Recommended to this court the Finishing of the Building in the First
Court of this Hospll. and the Opening of a way out of the Middle of
that Court into the High Street so soon as such way may conveniently be
made and subscribed One hundred pounds towards the Charge and several
other Governrs. here present made liberall subscripcons.

Ordered that it be Referred to the Grand Comittee to
make applicacons in such methods as they shall think propper
to such of the Governrs. as have not yet been Benefactors to this
Hospitall that they would now be pleased to Contribute towards
the said Worke.
