And a Debate Ariseing thereupon touching the person
Recomended by the Comittee to be Chosen One of the Surgeons
to
Cutt for the Stone in this Hospll. Resolved that it is the
Opinion of this Court there should be two Surgeons Imployed in
this Hospitall in that Operacon. Then the peticons of Mr.

severally praying to be
Admitted to performe that Operacon in the Roome of Mr.
William Pepper< no role >
decd: were Read, and some Testimonialls in
behalfe of the said Mr. Bamber were also Read and Doctor Mead
one of our Physitians was called in and Asked severall Questions
relating to the said Mr. Ferne, and his Qualificacons for that
Operacon. And then proceeding to a Choice. The said Mr. Ferne
was Freely Elected & Chosen, and was by this Court Admitted to be
One of the Surgeons for Cutting for the Stone in this Hospll:
during the pleasure of this Court and not otherwise with the
Usuall Sallary.

, was referred back to the Grand Comittee and they are
directed & authorized to Treat & Agree with him for the purchase
of the peice of Land menconed in the Report for the Use of
the Hospll: and to Issue the Money for the same if they shall
think fitt.
And then upon the Question, the Matters menconed in
the said Report relateing to Doctr: Cony & Doctr. Mead, and
all other Parts of the said Report were well liked & Approved
of by this Court And this Report is Ordered to be Entred in the
Reportory of the proceedings of this Court. And the severall
Matters & Things therein Reported as fitt & proper to be done
were Ordered to be done accordingly, and all parts of the sd. Report
are Ordered to be Observed according to the true Intent & Meaning
of the said Report.
