Sixty Four And wee beleive that by the Want of this Ground
he was Incomeded and Stratned in his said Buildings For which
reason and in regard that the said Mr: Comber Instead of
Six Hundred pounds which was all he was Obliged to Layout
by the Contract hath laid out upwards of Three Thousand
pounds in his Buildings upon the said Ground Wee are humbly
of opionion that the further Terme of Twenty yeares should
be Aeded to his Lease of the Prmisses

otherwise dispose of severall Elme Trees blowne downe near his Garden
Wall by the late Strome makeing together about Four Load He
Building a New Barne upon the said Farme at his own Charge
According to his Undertakeing in his Letter to Us of the One and
Thirtieth of March last

to be Renewed till
within 3: yeares nor
for more than 21:
Except in St: Thomas's
or in case of new
Buildings
And Whereas Severall of the Tennants of this
hospitall in whose Lease are Diverse Yeares yett to Come have Applyed
themselves to Vs praying the Liberty of reneweing or that a further
Terme of Yeares might be Added upon payment of some small Fines
or other small Consideracons And wee being of Opinion that such
a practice hath been heretofore Injurious to the Revenues of this
House and would be highly prejudicial if now or hereafter Admitted And
although the Comittees of this Hospll: have of late Yeares
Declined makeing any such Addiconall Grants till within Three Yeares
of the Expiracon of the Old Leases Yet therebeing noe Order of
this Court obligeing the Observance of this Rule Wee humbly
recomend it is a Matter in our Opinion very fitt and necessary
to be Ordered by this Court That noe Lease shall be renewed nor
any Addiconall Terme Granted by the Comittee of any of the houses or Lands
belonging to this Hospll: till within Three Yeares of the Expiracon
of the Old Leases Excepting only in the parish of St: Thomas where
the Comittee may have power to Grant or renew any Addiconal
Terme as they shall Think propper in regard many of the
houses there are very Antient and great part thereof want
to be rebuilt And that no New Lease shall be granted
for above One and Twenty Yeares unlesse in Case of New Building
