wherein were Twenty Eight Years to come at Lady Day 1701: and paying
Forty pounds for a Fine he may have a new Lease granted him for
Sixty One years from that time at the old Rent of Five pounds per
Ann And wee haveing Considered of his said offer and the charge he
has been at in makeing the said Vault and finding he was incouraged
by the Comittee the Eighteenth Day of Aprill 1699: to peticon the City
for Liberty to Digg the said Vault and to be at the charge of doeing it
Wee are of Opinion That his Request is reasonable and fitt to be granted
and recomend the same accordingly to this Court he paying to the City
the Rent of the said Vault.

And Wee have agreed with John Searle< no role > of Wheelers
near Epping in the County of Essex Gentleman to grant him a Lease
of a Messuage or Tenement and certaine Woodlands lying in Great
Parndon in the said County of Essex now in the possession of the said
John Searle< no role > or his Undertennants for Twenty One Years from Michas
1702: at which time the present Lease granted to Richard Galan< no role >
and assigned to the said John Searle< no role > will expire At the old Rent of
Fifteen pounds per Ann and For a Fine of Ten pounds to be paid
within a Month from the Sixteenth day of May last with a Covenant
to give Three Months notice at least to the Hospitall before any fall
of the Underwood to the end that the necessary care may be taken for
preserveing the Timber and with such other Covenants as are contained
in the present Lease (Mutatis mntandis)

Sweating Roome
and Wards for Cutting
there Intarged


And whereas the New Building in the Howermost
Court of this Hospitall intended for a Sweating Roome and for
Wards to be used in the Operacon of Cutting for the Stone is found to be
too little for these purposed Wee have ordered the same to be inlarged
by carrying on the said Building from the South end thereof to the
passage or Door way leading to the Burying place, and the same
is now almost finished and compleated according to the advise of
Docter Cyprianns.

Wee have admitted Elizabeth Wade< no role > to be one of the
Sisters of this House and Deborah Coville< no role > and Sarah Tilley< no role > to be
Two of the Nurses or Helpers in this House and think them fitt
persons to be continued dureing the pleasure of the Governor: and to have the
usuall Allowances.
