Chosen One of the
Two Surgeons , for
Cutting for the Stone
with Halfe the Sallary
And also Assistant
Surgeon.


to appoint some other Surgeon in the Room of the said Mr: Elton
to performe the said Operacon and to receive the said Docters
Instuccons and direccons therein. And thereupon Mr. William
Pepper
< no role > being recomended as a Skilfull person [..] for that
Operacon haveing with good successe severall times personned the
same wee chose him to officiate in the said Mr: Eltons roome a sone
of the principall Surgeons for cutting of the Stone from that time
till Midsomer 1702: and from thence dureing the pleasure of the
Governors: and to have halfe the Sallary appointed for that purpose
And wee likewise thought it necessary and much for the service of the
House to admitt the said Mr: Pepper for the like time as an Assistant
Surgeon for which noe Sallary is to be allowed him And we then
agreed to continue the said Mr: Rydoubt as the other principall Surgeon
for cutting of the Stone for the like time And we here take leave to
acquaint this Court that the said Docter Cyprianus at the Request
of the President was pleased soon afterwards to come over to this Hospll:
and cutt severall persons of the Stone (without Fee or Reward) with
very good Successe At which Operacons the Docters of this House
with the said Mr: Pepper and severall other Surgeons were present.

And Wee further Certifye That wee have sold
to Mr: Robert Calcutt< no role > Carpenter Fifty Three Timber Trees
Marked out by the Trear and some other Governor : in Darrick
Wood at Orpington in Kent and in the Feild next adjoining upon
a view there had about the late [..] of Aprill last For the sume
of Forty pounds and noe more in regrard severall of the said Trees
werestripped an some of them decayed.

And wee have allowed Eighteen Small Timber
Trees marked out by the Trear in our Woods at Great Parndon
in Essex now in Lease to Mr: John Searle< no role > amongst severall of
our Tennants there for Repaires.

Wee have been severall timed attended by Mr:
James White< no role > our Tennant of a House in the old Baily who
hath lately been at a very considerable charge in Digging and
makeing a Vault under the Street which he hath laid and
annexed to the said House held of this Hospitall and therefore
prays that upon surrendring his present Lease of the said House
wherein
