That a Great many of the Poor of Tibshelfe are Imployed
and maintained by the Coale pitts there.

He proposes to Give for a new Lease for 21: years £20
P Ann Rent, and to permitt the Tenants to have Coales as
before; or £25. P Ann if the Tenants are advanced 12d P Lea [..]

The Clerke acquainted the Committee, That Sr: Talbott Clar [..]
Son in Law to Mrs Gladwin one of our Tenants at Tibshelfe had se [..]
him a Letter last week Importing, That if the Committee thought
fitt, He would Treat for a Lease of these Coale Delfes, which
the Committee was willing to doe, if they don't now Agree
with Mr Parsons to Renew his Lease.

Whereupon after Severall Propositions and much
Consideration of the Case. It was Agreed with the said Mr
Parsons, That he should have a Lease granted to him of the
liberty of Digging for Coales in our Manner of Tibshelfe
as in the Old Lease for 15. years from Michas last at £35
P Ann, Tax free: The Tenants to have Coales as at present
And the Covenants for filling up the pitts Etc to be as in the Old
Lease.

The Clerke acquainted the Committee, That Mr. Richardson
our Receiver at Tibshelfe is lately Dead. And that his son
Offerrs his Service to be our Receiver there; which being
considered of. It is Ordered, That Mr: Tho: Richardson< no role >
the Son , be their Receiver of their Rents at Tibshelfe during
the pleasure of this Committee, Or the Governors of this
Hospitall, with the usuall Allowances for his Care and
trouble therein

Agreed, that a Lease be Granted to Thomas Guy< no role > Esqr :
or Such persons as he shall appoint: Of Severall parcells
of Ground in St. Thomas's parish , held of this Hospitall
upon Severall Leases under Severall Ground Rents amounting
to £17:4s: P Ann, for Severall Terms of years yet to come
which are purchased in by the said Mr Guy, or In Trust for him
Such Lease to be Granted at £30: P Annum Tax free, For
one Thousand yeares from Christmas last. His Intention
being to Built an Hospitall for Incurables upon this Ground.

The Old Leases are to be Surrendred.

Ordered, That a Green Staff be Sent to Sr. Thos: Pengelly< no role >
his Majesties Serjeant as Law to best Governor of this
Hospitall.
