the best Termes he can; And if he can't Agree with one of them
Then to cause publick Notice to be given for Letting thereof.

The said Mr Shewin came afterwards, and proposed to take
a Lease for 21 yeares at £12. P Ann without any Fine, of the
House and Garden now in his own possession, being one of the
Two Houses above mentioned, But refuses to meddle with the
other of the said Houses, He alledging the same to be so Ruinoll
that it can't be Repaired, but must be Rebuilt, or wholly taken
away: which Offer being much short of Mr Smiths proposall
was Rejected by the Commitee.

Mr. Benjamin Kite Proposes to take a Lease of a House
with the sheds and Buildings there unto belonging, now in
possession of Ebenezer Willmott< no role > as Tennant at Will to the
Hospitall, in St. Thomas's parish for 21 yeares from Xt. mas
next at £3. P Ann Rent, free from Taxes, And to give for affine
£88:13s:4d: The Committee did not think fitt to accept his Offer,
But left it to Mr Trear to Sett lean Agreement with him upon
the best Terms he can.

Agreed and Ordered, That a Surrender be accepted from the
Executors: of Willm Abbott< no role > deced, Of the Lease granted to him of
the old Bird in hand in St. Thomas's parish ; They not being able to
comply with the Covenant for new Building And the Committee
being of Opinion the same may be Lett to some other Tenant
upon as good or better Terms hat are contained in the said
Lease.

It is Referred to Mr Trear to Treat and Settle an Agreement
with Capt: Rose for altering or Exchageing the way or passage
leading to his Tenenment & Ground in st: Thomas's parish
now in the possession of Mr Clark And to lay the said Way or
passage into the Houses adjoyning thereto, and to Repaire and
alter the said Houses as he shall think fitt.

Mrs. Catherine Phillips< no role > our Tenant of an old Tenement
and a peice of Garden ground containing about an Acre lying
on the West side of Kent Street , to take a new Lease for 21 years
at the Rent of £8. P Ann if the Hospital will Repaire the said
House which offer was Rejected.

Mrs Susan Phipps< no role > our Tenant of a House in Fleet Lane
at the Corner of black and white Court where of the Improved
Kent is £14. P ann proposes by her son to give £30. Fine and
the old Ground rent of £4: P Ann for a now Lease for 23 yeares
from Michas last which will be equall to the Terme she has now to come in ye Lease
of the House next adjoyning, which proposall was not
