Agreed with Mr. William Phipps< no role > on behalfe of his Mother
Susannah Phipps< no role > to Grant her A Lease of a House in Fleet
Lane Old Baily for 23 yeares from Michas last, when
the Old Lease expired. At £5. P Annum Tax free, for a
Fine of £42: to be paid in a Month, and £50. at least to be
laid out in necessary and Substantiall Repaires in 12
Months, And to Secure the Gutter in the Alley, so as the
Foundation of this House may not receive any Damage
from itHe gave a Guinea to Poors Box.

Mr Deputy Stamper proposes to Rebuild his House in
Thread needle Street which is now very Defective in the
Front and Reare Walls, and to lay out £300: besides the
old materialls, and to pay a Fine of £100: if he may have
a Lease for 41 yeares from the Expiracon of his present
Lease which ends at Michas 1729. At the old Ground
Rent of £5. P Annum: But the Committee considering that
by an Order of the Generall Court, nor Lease is to be Receives
till within 3 years of the Expiracon, nor any Lease to be
Granted for more than 21 yeares, Unless in Cases of new
Building (Except in St. Thomas's parish) And the proposal
now made by Deputy Stamper, being in the Opinion of
this Committee not Equivalent to the Terme desired, He
