SirSt. Thomas's Hospital Apl 30, 1803 .

There is a Ment Charge of £25. P Ann issuing out of certain
Lands at Dring Houses near York, & payable to therefore [..] Hospitals
in London £19.18.- of which attaches upon land belonging to you.
This Hospital having an Agent for same Estates in Derbyshire &
Yorkshire the Receipt of this rent has for a great Number of Years
passed through her Hands, but for some year part, it has not been
paid with the accustomed Regularity, & Mr. Chamber has lately
signified to the Treasurer that your Professional & parliament sury
duties making it extremely difficult for him to know where to address
you is to receive a Remittance it has [..] ed to him that this Pay.
ment might be made more convieneintly both to yourself & the
Hospital when you are in London, & if you have a [..] Bunton
here & would lodge an Order for that Purpose the Hospital could
receive it annually at their House. I beg leave to add that this
Hospital being entitled to £¼. of this Rent only & having also the
Trouble of Meeting it,the Canditae of the Accounts,& the other 3
Hospitals receiving from this, then respective Quotas soon after
they become due, the Audition of the Accounts complain of the Irre
gularity & desire that it may be remended. Under this Circumstance
Mr Chamber has desired me to learn your Residence in Town, &
settle same made of paying the Money in Future. There was two
Year rent due at Ladyday last say £39.16.- The Hospital
Messenger shall waitcallin you on Wednesday nextatbetween 11 &
12 o Clock well my Receipt for this Money, & to receive your
Instruction how & where it is to be paid in Future.

Since I had the favour of your Letter on the Subject of the
damage the Wall has sustained I have been at Parndon, & given
directions to cut down proper Timber in un Wood, there for pites
which it will be necessary for you to Sex the Length of Etc Etc. I
shall therefore be obliged by your immediate Answer as it is
my Work to have the Job uncommonly well done, which by
this plan I think may be affected at a small Expence.It
is my Intention to have the Ray Stone intend of Chalk. Mr.
Harrison acquants me he attended the Meeting of the Commt.
the other day. I think of being on board the Thames Ind [..] n
lying at the lower part of Lez Reach on Saturday: if I can by
Purfleet I should hope to see your.I am EtcA.C.
