Mr. Beeven having in the 15 Indt. replied, at very Request to
yours two Letters of the 19 Octo. of 11 Inst, it only remains for one to
confirm my Sentiments as expressed in my letter of the 5 [..] Sept
whereon you find I am decededly asence to any Scheme in inducts
the Colliery that can lead the Hospital to the Necessity of advancery
more money upon the Undertaking, which from the Offer you make
normely a most losing Concern.

Present to dressing the Sough & carrying on preparatory work,
which together have last upwards of £1100; ther Colliery lell for £60.
P Ann you say it will acquire £1000 more before you could give
£110. P Ann first, which appears to me so extraordinary their I must
request you neither to seak more respects or carry on any new
Road without prevently adversing me thereof, that I may be enabled
to lay the Particular before the Grand Committee, who if they
agree with me in Sentiment, will pause before one more Guinea
is expended.

The Eiternate I should maker of the Value of the Colliery, must
have foreto Data the old Rent & the Nevery expended to improve the
Works by drevery the Sough &, which would stand thus:
Old Rent P Ann£60

£1100 expended in the Sough & which at 10 yrs Purchase 110
which Sum of £170 P Ann is surely no Compensation to the Hospl.
of if tell at that rate, should confent the Rnant to the quantity of Coal
hees to work P Ann. etc but as the Rent searges much beyond your
Eilernation I am desposed to recommended to the Committee either gettg
all the money we can back from the Work as they now are
(without further Advance) then lay down the Colliery, or advatages [..]
at to be lett to the best Bidder. But the plan of advancing at least
£1000 (as you say) before you could give £110 P Ann for it, I am
presented are never shall accide to.

The Rights of the Hospl. an for an relates to the Collages ment

turned out. I shall be glad to hear from you as soon as
posseble I am Sir your obed Sevr. At
P. S.I have examined the Tibshelf Rent & Colliery Accounts find
them right, except an error of 10/. too little in the Carting of the Cran side of the 28 Nov.
Account your call it £72. 5. 0½ I cannot £72.15.0½. It consequently
makes that to the Hosp. on the Hospl. on the Decr. last £283.9.8½( [..] 19.)
