Mr Collin
Mr Treasurer desires you will get
some good strong Deal Boards, sufficient to floor
Mr Ellis's Hall, & deliver them to him; he having
this day agreed with the Governors for a new Lease,
& is to have rough Timber found him for Repairs

The Governors of St Thomas's
Hospital on their Holding a Court in September last for
the Manner of Laisters otherwise Langleys near
Rickmansworth were Informed that an Estate in that
Manner late belonging to Mr Merrick was now descended
to you or otherwise come into your possessionFrom
which there appear to be due to the Hospital severall
years Arrears of a Quit Rent of 9 P Ann

This Letter waits on you by Order of the Grand
Committee to apprize you of the abovemention'd Claim
And Tishop'd you will satisfye their Demands in
this respect without putting the Governors under the
Necessity of having Recourse to Compulsory methods
