To the Worshipful his Majesties Justices of the Peace
in and for the County of Middlesex in their General Quarter
Sessions of the Peace assembled.

The humble Petition of James Davies< no role > of Old
Brent ford in the said County Victualler

Sheweth.


That by virtue of an Order Judgment or Conviction under the
hand and Seal of Nathaniel Bland< no role > Esquire one of his Majesties Justices
of the peace in and for the said County bearing date the 4th. day of
March 1794. the said Justices convicted your Petitioner in the po [..]
Sum of five pounds and Corts for that your Petitioner did on the
twenty fourth day of February 1794 Use or caused to be used a
Cart upon a certain Turnpike Road in the Parish of Ealing in
the said County the Sole or bottom of the Fellies of the Wheels of
which said Cart being of less breadth or Gauge than six Inches
and then and there did pass or was drawn with more than three
Horses that is to say at the time and Parish last aforesaid the
said Cart did pass or was drawn with four Horses contrary to
the Statute.

That in pursuance of such Order Judgment or Conviction
a Warrant of Distress was issued under the hand and Seal of the
said Nathaniel Bland< no role > Esquire to levy the said Penalty of Five
pounds in pursuance whereof the same was accordingly levied and
paid by distress and Sale of the Goods and Chattles of your
Petitioner

That your Petitioner conceives himself to be aggrieved by
the said Judgment Order and Conviction and other proceedings
aforesaid in as much as that he your Petitioner did not on the
said 24th. day of February 1794 unlawfully Use or Cause to be
Used any Cart of the description aforesaid upon the Public
Highway or Turnpike Road aforesaid in the Parish of Ealing
aforesaid or which did there pass or was drawn with more than three that is to say with four
Horses as aforesaid at the time and parish last aforesaid as in
