To the Worshipful His Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
assembled at the General Quarter
Sessions of the Peace for the said County
on Clerkenwell Green on Monday the
Twenty eighth day of April one thousand
seven hundred and Ninety four.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of
Francis Chilton< no role > of Wells Row Islington
Coach Master

Sheweth


That your Petitioner was on or about the Eleventh
day of March last convicted by Humphry Jackson< no role > Esquire one
of the Justices of the peace for the said County upon an
information exhibited and presented by Henry Yates< no role >
charging that on the Twenty sixth day of February last
your Petitioner did on the said twenty sixth day of February
unlawfully use or came to be used a Stage Coach upon
a certain Turnpike Road in the parish of Saint Mary
Islington in the County of Middlesex upon the pannels
of the Doors of which said Coach was not painted his
Christian name in large legible letter contrary to the
Statute in that case made and provided

That your Petitioner conceives himself
aggrieved by such conviction and is advised to appeal
against the same.

Your Petitioner therefore
humbly prays your Worships will
be pleased to permit him to outer his
