To the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. James, at Clerkenwell , in the County of
Middlesex ; and to the Church-wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. George Bloomsbury in the said County
and to each and every of them.

UPON the Complaint of the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. James, Clearkenwell , aforesaid, in the said County of
Middlesex , unto us whose Names are hereunto set, and Seals affixed, being two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex ,
and one of the Quorum that
Elizabeth Adams< no role > the wife of Benjamin
Adams
< no role > , Carman is
come to inhabit in the said Parish of
St. James, in Clerkenwell , not having gained a legal Settlement there, and that
the said Elizabeth Adams< no role > is

now chargeable to the said Parish of St. James, in Clerkenwell . We the said
Justices, upon due Proof made therof upon Oath, as otherwife, and likewife
upon due Consideration had of the Premises, do adjudge the same to be true;
and we do like wife adjudge, that the lawful Settlement of the said Elizabeth
Adams
< no role > is in the said
Parish of Saint George Bloomsbury in the said County of
Middlessex We do therefore require you, the said Church-
wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. James , at Clerken-
well, or some or one of you, to convey the said Elizabeth Adams< no role >
from and out of your said Parish of St. James , at Clerkenwell , to the said Parish
of St. George Bloomsbury and her to deliver to
the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poors there, or to some or one of them,
together with this our Order, or a true Copy thereof, at the same Time Shewing
to them the Original; and we do also hereby require you, the said Church-
wardens and Overseers of the Poors of the Parish of St.George Bloomsbury
to receive and provide for her according to Law. Given under
our Hands and Seals, the Third Day of July in the
year of our Lord, 178. 9.
