Parish of Saint Margaret Westminster
in the County
of Middlesex
Victualer
maketh Oath and saith
That the said Thomas Norton< no role >
having been Arrested by
virtue of a certain Warrant under the hand and Seal
of William Hyde< no role >
Esquire (one of his Majesties Justices
of the Peace
for the County) for the Assault aforesaid
this Deponent entered into a certain Recognizance
before the said Justice for the appearance of the said
Thomas Norton< no role >
at the then next December Session and
now last past then and thereto plead to and Answer
to a certain Indictment to be preferred by the said Prosecutor
against the said Defendant for the said Assault And
the said Prosecutor having preferred his Bill and the
same being found true this Deponent (being ignorant
of Law matters & not doubting of being Exonerated from
his said Recognizance thereupon Surrendered the said
Defendant to the Custody of one Francis Humpage< no role >
a Constable who informed this Deponent that he was
then wholy Exonerated By reason when of this Deponent
neglected to appear in their honorable Court according to the
strict tenor of his said Recognizance And Lastly
