By Twelve o ClockThat the Answer was "That Sr. Jno
Fielding
< no role > and his Men might be Dannied That they had Spies out and That the
Guards were not Out"That between Nine and
Ten Sr. Jno. Fieldings< no role > men and the guards Came
That One of Sr. Jnos. People Came in first
That imediately afterwards Came in the Soldiers
And they began to Examine the People below
But Informant told them he supposed that they
wanted the People aboveTaht then the Capt or some
Commanding Officer said "Up Stairs Up Stairs"
That upon this One of the Soldiers (Informant think)
he that was shot went up Stairs And as soon
as he was gone up Informant heard a Pistol go off
Which Informant thinks was fired off by the Man
who took the Beer from InformantThat there
were then same of the Soldiers in the Passage below
And they Cryed Out that a Soldiers was Shot
That imediately upon that the Commanding Officer
said Load and FireThat at that time the
Soldier who was shot was fell down to the bottom of
the StairsWhether the Soldier who was shot had
any Arms or not Informant cannot Tell
That as soon as the Capt. Orderd the Soldiers to Load
and Fire be Orderd the Soldiers all Out of the House
Except Two who were left to Guard the Tap Room
Door that Goes into the Passage Then they began
to FireSoundwithout side some Fired into the Tap Room and Some up Stairs
That he did not hear or See any Firing from above
or Below StairsBelieves the Firing Ceased
in about a Quarter of
an hour
